His Majesty King Hamad has underscored Bahrain’s pride in its long-standing historical ties and strategic partnership with the United States, which span decades of co-ordination in pursuit of shared goals and mutual interests.
He stressed the strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and the United States when he received US Ambassador Steven C Bondy at Safriya Palace yesterday.
The King reviewed the advanced levels of co-operation achieved across various sectors.
The discussion highlighted the outcomes of the successful visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the US.
The King also commended the efforts of the US Ambassador in strengthening relations.
He highlighted the role of the US administration on the international stage and its active efforts in promoting regional and global peace and security.
In recognition of the Ambassador’s contributions to advancing the relations between the two countries, the King presented him with the Order of Bahrain (Wisam Al Bahrain), First Class.
Ambassador Bondy expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for the honour, praising his leadership and unwavering support in enhancing the distinguished partnership.
