ENDURANCE – The Royal Endurance Team will compete in the World Endurance Championship for eight-year-old horses, set to take place today in Jullianges, France, with the participation of elite riders and horses from around the world.
The annual event is organised under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and includes both individual and team competitions, with medals awarded to the top three finishers.
The team will be represented by riders Fahad Hilal Al Khateri, Isa Humaid Al Anzi, Faisal Humaid Al Anzi, Mohammed Khalid Al Rowaie, and Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi. Bahrain’s participation will also include rider Shaikha Najla bint Salman Al Khalifa and Sarhan Al Anzi.
Dr Khalid Hassan, Assistant Secretary General of the Royal Equestrian and the Royal Endurance Team, emphasised that the participation is taking place with the support and follow up of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He noted that Shaikh Nasser had directed the team’s participation in the prestigious championship in line with his vision to continue developing Bahrain’s endurance sport internationally.
Dr Hassan said the team features outstanding young riders with strong capabilities and expressed confidence in their ability to achieve the desired goals in the event.
The Royal Endurance Team conducted its final warm up session under the supervision of the technical and administrative staff, and also completed the veterinary check held in the championship village, which will host 83 riders from various countries.
