A teenager in India jumped to his death from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar hill in Maharashtra after his mother allegedly refused to buy him a mobile phone.
According to reports, Atharva Gopal Tayde was preparing for police recruitment examinations and had requested his mother to buy him a phone multiple times over several days.
However, his mother allegedly denied the request.
On Sunday, Atharva once again asked his mother to purchase a phone. But upon her refusal, he reportedly went to Khawda hill in Tisgaon and jumped.
Locals at the scene immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
