A man in New Jersey, US, recently stabbed and slashed two bakery owners after complaining about a sandwich he bought four years ago.
Abed and Mohammed Assad, two brothers who run a bakery in New Jersey, were attacked by an enraged customer complaining about a sandwich from them that had made him ill four years ago.
“He told him, ‘You gave me eggplant in my sandwich and then my stomach was bothering me’ and stuff like that,” said Moneer Simrin, a friend of the victims.
The man then allegedly stabbed Mohammed in the chest and Abed in the arm when he tried to help his brother. Both brothers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and survived.
The assailant ran out of the store and remains at large.
