On the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, the Pakistani Women’s Association (PWA) is reflecting on the remarkable impact the group has made on its community.
Since 1998, it has served its community by supporting children’s education, meal drives, refreshment and hygiene kit distributions and empowering women.
“I have had the privilege of leading this remarkable association for many years, and I have witnessed first-hand the profound impact it has had on the people,” said PWA president Shahmeen Islam, in a statement.
“From smiles of joy to heartfelt words of gratitude, the sense of connection and the fulfilment that comes from giving back is truly inspiring.” The association is especially proud of young people who have been a part of its mission to volunteer and support community events.
“We invite you to join the PWA and be part of a platform dedicated to creating meaningful social impact and fostering a stronger, more compassionate community,” added Ms Islam.
