The new Nissan Magnite SUV is one of the safest cars on the road, according to experts, and has been awarded a five-star overall rating by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP).
Details of the compact SUV’s success were released by delighted officials at Y K Almoayyed and Sons, the sole distributor of the marque’s vehicles in Bahrain.
Made in India and exported to more than 65 countries, the latest Magnite received a perfect five-star rating in adult safety and a three-star rating in child safety, resulting in an overall five-star safety rating for passengers.
The vehicle underwent rigorous testing, including assessments of adult occupant protection, child safety and safety assist features.

“Demonstrating exceptional performance across all categories, the SUV showcases its robust build quality, advanced safety features and innovative design, aimed at safeguarding drivers and passengers alike,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.
“The newest version of Magnite launched in October 2024 and is now exported to markets in Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia.”
Boasting more than 40 standard safety features, it includes six airbags, improved body structure incorporating 67 per cent high tensile strength steel (>440Mpa), anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), vehicle dynamic control, and more.
Global NCAP’s crash test protocols assess frontal and side impact protection for all models, as well as electronic stability control (ESC).
Pedestrian protection and side pole impact protection assessments are also required for vehicles scoring the highest star ratings.
“With more than 20 first and best-in-segment features and more than 55 safety features, it makes the Magnite a standout choice in the compact SUV segment,” the company spokesperson added.
Additional safety features such as three-point seatbelts for all seats, seatbelt reminders, child lock, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and rear parking sensors now come as standard across all variants, ensuring every journey is not just comfortable but more secure than ever.
