MOTORSPORT – BAHRAIN is set to host two rounds of the 2025 Formula 4 Saudi Arabian Championship, it has been announced.
The kingdom will be one of two host nations of this FIA-certified, single-seater series, with Saudi Arabia being the other.
The entry-level championship flags off with the first two of its five meetings this campaign at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
Round one is scheduled for October 10 to 12, to be followed by round two on October 15 and 16.
October 10 acts as a test day for the F4 series.
The championship then stages its next three rounds at Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Jeddah this November and December.
The 2025 calendar has been confirmed by organisers from Altawkikat Motorsport. First run in 2024, the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship, delivered under the authority of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), acts as a platform for talent development and technological innovation on and off the race track.
Created to inspire, support, and develop the next generation of Saudi and international racing talent, the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship will feature up to 20 drivers, all racing in the same make of car – the Tatuus Abarth F4 G2 (T421) – meaning that talent and racecraft will be the only variables on the tarmac, ensuring an emphasis on skill over machinery.
The series is Saudi’s first and only FIA-sanctioned single-seater national championship, offering a cost-controlled, professional entry point and empowering young drivers aged 15 and older with a clear ladder to F3 and beyond.
Its impact isn’t just felt on track, however, as the series also creates professional career pathways for young Saudi engineers, mechanics, officials and race managers.
Operating across multiple national and regional championships since 2014, F4 is an FIA-certified category designed to bridge the gap for young racing drivers from karting or junior categories into the world of professional single-seater racing.
Considered the first official rung on the global single-seater ladder, F4 has produced champions and talented graduates who have advanced to the very pinnacle of international motorsport, including the likes of Lando Norris, George Russell and Oscar Piastri.
Each participating driver will benefit from a complete end-to-end support programme covering technical, skill development, and media training. Off-track talent will also be supported via targetted development programmes designed to provide equal, inclusive opportunities for both male and female participants across technical, engineering, race operations, commercial, and marketing disciplines.
The championship offers a safe, highly competitive and globally recognised platform for aspiring drivers to hone their skills and progress in the world of motorsport.
