The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the kingdom's mobile network operators (MNOs) have published new guidelines designed to detect, block, and mitigate fraudulent SMS (text message) activity targeting consumers.
The 'Guidelines for Reducing Fraudulent SMS" are the result of a joint working group formed by the TRA and operators to address the growing threat of scams and online safety issues affecting mobile users .
