A female police officer from Australia has amazed the internet after she set a new Guinness World Records title for the most pull-ups performed in one hour.
32-year-old Jade Henderson broke a nearly decade-old record after she did an incredible 733 pull-ups in one hour. That averages to around 12 pull-ups every minute.
The previous record of 725 was set by Eva Clarke, another Australian, in 2016.
"I decided to start training for the pull-up world record because I liked the idea of doing something that nobody else has ever done. I also wanted to see what my mind and body were physically capable of," Henderson told Guinness World Records.
Henderson had initially set her mind on breaking the 24-hour record, which is currently held by Olivia Vinson, also from Australia, with a total of 7,079 pull-ups. However, an injury forced her to reevaluate her approach.
During her final training session before the 24-hour attempt, she tore her bicep. This injury forced her to rest her arm for about six weeks before she was able to do any pull-ups again.
She finally settled on the one-hour record to prevent any further injuries.
