Kuwait’s General Department of Criminal Investigation carried out an intensive field security campaign targeting shopping malls that recently witnessed repeated incidents of public brawls, some of which involved the use of knives, leading to the arrest of several individuals proven to have disrupted public order.
The ministry confirmed that the campaign is in line with the ongoing efforts of the Criminal Security Sector to maintain public order and combat negative behaviour in public places, in cooperation with the Security Directorates Sector.
The ministry disclosed that the campaign resulted in the arrest of 20 individuals involved in instigating fights and causing chaos. The violating expatriates were deported immediately, and legal action was taken against the citizens.
