Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 72nd Session of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean, held in Cairo.
The minister met Egyptian Health and Population Minister and Human Development Deputy Prime Minister Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. They discussed means to enhance co-operation between the two countries in healthcare, medical training, technical exchange and capacity building across various medical domains.
Dr Al Sayyed also met Jordanian Health Minister Dr Ibrahim Mahfouz Al Badour to explore collaboration in developing primary healthcare services, strengthening emergency preparedness, and advancing co-operation in precision medicine, genomics, and the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
In another meeting, she met Russian Deputy Health Minister Oleg Salagay to discuss co-operation in genetic medicine, specialised medical training, and the exchange of expertise to enhance national capabilities and the efficiency of health systems.
