Bahrain’s Pavilion at the Gitex Global 2025 exhibition concluded its participation with remarkable success, securing the signing of 12 key partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between participating Bahraini companies and various local and international organisations.
The exhibition, held in Dubai from October 13 to 17, served as a magnet for a high number of visitors, industry professionals, partners, and investors keen on the kingdom’s booming Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector. Visitors lauded the high level of innovation and technological advancement showcased by the kingdom’s leading enterprises.
The Bahrain Pavilion featured 14 Bahraini startups and SMEs operating across various ICT fields, including Procural, Oreem, Invo POS, Palm Stays Real Estate Rental Platform, MenaMoney Technology, VirtuThinko, RemoteApps, Aman Compliance Solutions, ATME, Lumofy, Al Amthal Group, General Assembly, Mazad, and Arab Financial Services. They were joined by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), and Array Innovation.
Tamkeen played a crucial role in the pavilion, with chief growth officer Khalid Al Bayat affirming that the organisation’s support for enterprises at international shows like Gitex is vital for “showcasing their ideas and projects, and expanding into regional and global markets.”
Mr Al Bayat stressed that this participation enables local companies to “exchange expertise from partnerships, and seize investment opportunities,” directly aligning with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities.
“We believe in the important and crucial role played by technology companies in delivering advanced solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity across sectors, as well as their contribution to creating high-quality employment opportunities for local talent,” he added.
He highlighted Tamkeen’s core focus: “promoting the growth, digitalisation, and sustainability of enterprises by supporting their digital transition like adopting fintech solutions and emerging technologies.”
The support for the Gitex outing is also a key component of the kingdom’s comprehensive Telecommunications, ICT, and Digital Economy Sector Strategy (2022-2026), which aims to drive national development and create quality opportunities for Bahrainis.
Gitex Global 2025 was one of the largest technology events in the world, featuring 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups, and 1,200 investors from 180 countries.
