Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sport chairperson Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa extended her warmest congratulations and blessings to His Majesty the King’s wife and Supreme Council for Women president Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa on the occasion of Bahrain Women’s Day.
This year, it was observed under the theme “Bahraini Women…Excellence, Creativity, Innovation.”
Shaikha Dr Hessa praised the pioneering role of HRH Princess Sabeeka in supporting the advancement of Bahraini women across all fields.
She affirmed that the celebration of Bahrain Women’s Day is an important opportunity to highlight the achievements of Bahraini women in various arenas, expressing her pride in the remarkable progress of Bahraini women in the sports sector.
She noted that women have become essential partners in delivering numerous sporting accomplishments on the international stage, in addition to their distinction in assuming leading positions at the highest global levels.
She added that these successes are the result of the care and attention dedicated by HRH Princess Sabeeka to strengthening the progress of Bahraini women and enhancing their presence and contributions.
