Two men will face trial for allegedly renting out quad motorbikes without the required licences or authorisations.
According to the Public Prosecution, authorities received multiple reports indicating that the men had been preparing sand tracks as racing circuits and renting out quad bikes, including to children, without implementing essential safety measures.
Several accidents occurred as a result, with some victims sustaining serious injuries that required hospitalisation.
Following these reports, the Public Prosecution launched an investigation and questioned three of the five suspects. They admitted to operating without a licence and were instructed to halt their activities until completing the necessary administrative procedures and meeting legal requirements.
Authorities also contacted the Industry and Commerce Ministry, which confirmed that none of the accused had been granted a licence to engage in quad bike rental services.
A security report revealed that while three defendants complied and ceased operations, two continued their unlicensed activities. These two have now been referred to the Criminal Court for trial.
