Fourteen new services have been added to the MyGov application, bringing the total number of services offered since its launch in February to 111.
Among the new additions is the Personal Bill Payment service, introduced in co-operation with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), which will now allow citizens with multiple accounts to complete their payments in one step.
According to Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) electronic transformation deputy chief executive Ali Janahi, the new update builds on continuous efforts to enhance the MyGov app and expand its offerings.
“Our aim is to strengthen the app’s role as a national digital platform, complement the National Portal (bahrain.bh), and give citizens and residents convenient access to a wide range of services,” said Mr Janahi.
New features to support charitable endeavours have been introduced, including the Fael Khair initiative by the Interior Ministry.
It also offers zakat and donation payments, mosque and Ramadan majlis locations, prayer times, Qibla direction, and more in collaboration with the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry.
Additionally, the application now allows users to view their vaccination records and download vaccination-related documents.
Athletes can also check their health certificates in collaboration with Government Hospitals.
Since its launch in February, the MyGov application has been downloaded more than 640,000 times on Android and iPhone.
Initially, it featured 41 services from nine government agencies. In August, around 24 new services were added to the application, including organ donation, payment notifications and emergency alerts.
Citizens and residents seeking more information about the new services and features can call the Government Services Contact Centre on 80008001 or submit inquiries, suggestions and feedback through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul).
