FOOTBALL – Sultan Alsalatna scored a brace as Bahrain Club routed Al Shabab 4-0 in an eighth-round match of the Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Football Premier League yesterday.
Alsalatna scored Bahrain Club’s opening goal in the 36th minute and extended the team’s lead with his second goal in the 50th minute.
Gabriel Vasconcelos and Mateus Toto scored in the 86th and 89th minutes respectively to give Bahrain Club a commanding win.
Meanwhile, Riffa eased past Al Ahli 2-0 in the other eight-round match played yesterday.
Rodrigo Yuri scored the opening goal in the 56th minute while Ali Madan extended the lead five minutes later.
The eighth round concludes today when Al Najma take on Malkiya.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 7pm.
