Parliament has unanimously endorsed an urgent proposal calling on the government to regularise the employment status of Bahrainis currently engaged on short-term contracts with a telecommunications provider, granting them permanent positions.According to the proposal, which will be reviewed by the government, employees are engaged on six-month renewable contracts for extended periods, despite the sustained need for their roles .
