Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, at Al Barakah Palace on Wednesday.
At the outset of the meeting, the Sultan welcomed the guest and her accompanying official delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Sultanate of Oman. For her part, the Prime Minister expressed her delight with this visit, appreciating the Sultan's warm welcome and hospitality.
The Sultan and the Italian Prime Minister held a session of talks. During the session, they reviewed the existing aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them. They also discussed investment opportunities, particularly in the sectors of industry, energy, modern technologies, food security, and tourism, as well as fields of culture and education.
They also exchanged views on a set of regional and international developments.
