His Majesty King Hamad has commended the successful visit of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari to Bahrain and its positive outcomes in enhancing bilateral relations.
The King was speaking as he received the Pakistani President at Safriya Palace yesterday.
President Zardari was accompanied by First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari.
During the meeting, His Majesty and President Zardari exchanged cordial talks reflecting the longstanding ties and close co-operation between the two countries at all levels. The King expressed appreciation for President Zardari’s role and efforts in further developing bilateral relations.
His Majesty and the Pakistani President also attended an Arabian horse show, which included a military formation by the Royal Guard cavalry of the Bahrain Defence Force. President Zardari was briefed on the horses and the efforts made in Bahrain to care for and preserve their bloodlines.
President Zardari expressed appreciation to the King for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation. He praised the horse show and the kingdom’s efforts to preserve these purebred horses.
