THE kingdom of Bahrain is hosting the inaugural edition of The Force Games, to be held as part of Bahrain Sports Day on Thursday.
This unique event introduces the concept of hybrid races, combining running, strength training, physical endurance, and obstacle challenges.
The aim is to promote a culture of physical fitness and encourage all segments of society to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle.
The Force Games stands out from traditional races, offering participants a comprehensive course with multiple stations that combine continuous running, functional strength exercises, weightlifting, and obstacle course challenges. This provides a complete test of physical strength, mental focus, and discipline under pressure.
In this context, Bahrain Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) Club president Ali Mohammed Taqi stated that the championship represents a valuable addition to the kingdom’s sporting landscape. He emphasised that the course design caters to different skill levels and provides participants with a safe and stimulating competitive experience, contributing to raising awareness of the importance of physical activity as a lifestyle.
For his part, Body Force owner and tournament organiser Abdullah Al Fadhel explained that the launch of The Force Games aims to provide a comprehensive sporting experience that goes beyond mere competition, focusing instead on instilling the values of discipline, commitment, resilience, and hard work. He noted that the tournament is open to individuals and teams, with various categories and levels available to allow everyone to participate, according to their abilities.
The tournament will be held on the Bahrain Waterfront in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere, in keeping with the spirit of Bahrain Sports Day. A large turnout is expected, along with a significant public presence, reflecting the growing interest in community sporting events in Bahrain.
Those wishing to participate are encouraged to register in advance due to limited space. A link for registration is available on The Force Games’s Instagram page @the.forcegames.
Organisers emphasise their commitment to providing a high-quality sporting experience open to all.
