MOTORSPORT – BAHRAIN’S rising karting star Shaikh Saif bin Hassan Al Khalifa brought his IAME UAE Series campaign to a thrilling conclusion with a third-place podium finish in the 10th and final round in Ras Al Khaimah, securing the title of second vice-champion for the 2026 season in what was his first full year competing in the championship.
In a breakthrough debut run, the young driver exceeded expectations by consistently challenging at the front of a highly competitive international field.
Demonstrating maturity, composure, and rapid development across the season, Shaikh Saif closed the year with his fourth consecutive podium finish, underlining both his momentum and long-term potential.
Securing second vice-champion in his first complete campaign marks a major milestone in his development pathway and firmly positions him as one of the region’s most promising young motorsport talents.
Speaking after the curtain-closing meeting, Shaikh Saif said: “I’m really proud to finish the season on the podium and as second vice-champion.
“It’s been an amazing year of learning and pushing myself every race. We’ll come back even stronger next year.”
With the IAME UAE Series season concluded, Shaikh Saif now shifts his focus to intensive winter training in Europe as he prepares to compete in the IAME Euro Series with a Europe-based team.
The European campaign begins in March in Spain, marking an exciting new chapter as he steps onto the world stage against some of karting’s top young drivers.
