Tennis – Top-ranked tennis champion, Carlos Alcaraz, the youngest man to complete the Career Grand Slam in singles and a future hall of famer, chose to celebrate his success with a visit to Bahrain, staying at the iconic The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain during his visit.
The Association of Tennis Professionals’ (ATP) number one ranked player played an exclusive 90-minute blistering-paced practice session arranged on the hotel’s tennis court.
“We are immensely proud to have had the once in a lifetime opportunity to host Carlos and his entourage at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain,” general manager Bernard de Villèle added.
“Welcoming a champion of his calibre is a unique honour for our ownership, our ladies and gentlemen and the Royal Beach Club (RBC) team.”
A select group of 50 tennis aficionados and RBC members were granted a rare opportunity to watch Alcaraz practise up close and witness the intensity, precision and athleticism that recently propelled him to success and his current ranking.

Guests described the experience as ‘inspiring’ and ‘unforgettable’ – a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see a global champion refine his craft only witnessed in The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, courtesy of the property’s ownership and senior leadership and LUX Tennis.
“We were delighted to send Carlos Alcaraz to The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain – one of our valued hotel partners for over five years,” a LUX Tennis official said, in a statement.
“Carlos trained on the courts to prepare for the Doha tournament, and I am truly grateful for his trust in LUX Tennis. “I would also like to thank Mr de Villèle and his team for their exceptional hospitality and support.”
The visit served as a reminder that even after conquering the courts in Australia and the global stage, champions continue to train, evolve and inspire – sometimes in the most elegant of surroundings.
