ENDURANCE HORSERACING – BAHRAIN’S Royal Endurance Team achieved a new global milestone after their horse Bolt de Venelles topped the FEI Endurance Junior/Young Riders Horse World Ranking for 2025, issued by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI).
His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, and Bahrain Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented a shield and certificate of excellence to team coach Jaafar Merza in recognition of his technical and administrative efforts that contributed to the achievement.
Bolt De Venelles occupied the number one ranking with 341 points – just shy of 50 points more than his closest challenger, Excalibur Larzac with 292 points.
Meanwhile, Bahrain Royal Endurance Team rider Isa Hameed Al Anezi was third on the FEI Endurance Junior/Young Riders World Ranking for 2025. He also received an award from Shaikh Nasser.
Al Anezi had 695 points in his position, not far behind top-ranked rider Carla Mosti from France, who had 729 points, and second-placer Saana Nieminen from Finland, who had 700 points.
Three other Bahraini riders were in the top eight of the world ranking – showcasing the kingdom’s quality in the sport. Sultan Abdulaziz Alromaihi was fifth with 672 points, Faisal Hameed Al Anezi was seventh on 583 points, and Saud Mubarak Sabt ranked eighth with 568 points.
On the occasion, Shaikh Nasser said that the results reflect Bahrain’s Royal Endurance Team’s professional approach and ongoing efforts to enhance Bahrain’s standing in international competitions.
Shaikh Nasser noted that focusing on junior and youth categories represents an investment in the future of endurance sport. He commended the efforts of the technical and administrative teams and said that further efforts will continue to build on current achievements and secure additional successes.
