World-renowned Dutch DJ and record producer Martin Garrix has been announced as the first musical star turn for this year’s Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix taking place from April 10 to 12.
The 29-year-old hit maker – best known for tracks like Animals, In the Name of Love and Scared to Be Lonely – will be headlining the Friday night concert at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Mr Garrix is one of the youngest and most successful DJs and producers championing the pop and electronic scene. He has topped DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for several years and his hits have generated more than a billion streams online.
Having collaborated with major stars including Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Bono and The Edge of U2, Bebe Rexha, Khalid, Macklemore and Avicci, he will kick off the off-track BIC party with other major announcements to follow as part of an unforgettable F1 weekend of entertainment.
In addition, a water spectacular circus will be putting on an incredible show for the entire family, and a variety of performers such as Hot Wheels, Barbie, Blippi, and many other popular characters will keep young fans entertained.
The fan-favourite Ferris Wheel is back to offer a memorable carnival ride, while a variety of roaming acts will be interacting with attendees across BIC’s F1 Village.
