A young girl has made a heartfelt plea for peace, capturing attention across social media with a simple but powerful message calling for an end to the aggression and highlighting the negative impact on children.
In a viral video shared on the instagram platform, the child is seen holding a sign reading, ‘Stop the war, we are children’, drawing awareness to the emotional toll that ongoing regional tensions are having on young lives.
The post quickly gained traction, attracting more than 5,000 shares, 400 likes and 240 comments, prompting former MP Hamad Al Kooheji to share the video on his own social media platform in support of the message.

Mr Al Kooheji
Speaking to the Gulf Daily News, he emphasised that while the child’s unease is visible, Bahrain remains safe and stable. “I wanted to reassure everyone that despite the fear in this child’s eyes, Bahrain remains secure,” he said.
He acknowledged that some of the areas targeted by Iranian missiles and drones include residential neighbourhoods in Manama, Seef District and Hidd. “These areas are home to families and a vibrant civilian life; they are not part of any military bases,” he said. “Our security forces remain the primary shield protecting all civilians.”
Mr Al Kooheji stressed that sharing such messages is important in reflecting the reality on the ground, particularly at a time when misinformation has been circulating widely online.
“Bahrain is a peaceful nation with strong diplomatic relations, thanks to the wise policies of His Majesty the King and the leadership of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister,” he said.
“These relations, reflected in the directives to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, make Bahrain a global model of stability that should not be a target,” he added.
Expressing a sincere hope for deescalation, he added that the kingdom seeks a future in which diplomatic progress ensures that no civilian site is ever threatened and the tranquillity of the population remains undisturbed.
He noted that the situation in most of Bahrain remains stable, with residents in areas such as Seef and Hidd continuing their daily routines, confident that the government’s priority is the safety of every citizen and resident. “Bahrain reflects peace and stability because of its leadership,” he added. “We are not a party to these wars, and targeting areas full of families and civilian life only strengthens our unity.”
GDN Media previously reported on the psychological impact that loud explosions and warning sirens can have on children. Psychologists advised parents to keep young children engaged in activities to help reduce anxiety, while also stressing the importance of honesty. Experts cautioned against pretending that nothing is happening, noting that doing so can leave children feeling confused and even more unsettled.
