An inspection visit was carried out at several ports of entry following the recent Iranian attacks targeting sites in Bahrain.
It was led by Customs president Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who reviewed operations to ensure the uninterrupted flow of food supplies, essential commodities and medical supplies.
The visit aimed to reaffirm maximum readiness and heightened vigilance in light of the current situation. Shaikh Ahmed conveyed the appreciation of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, for the efforts of personnel in implementing the national customs strategy.
He praised their high level of operational efficiency and strong security awareness during this period.
During the inspection, Shaikh Ahmed reviewed customs workflows and clearance procedures for shipments and goods to ensure swift processing of shipments.
He stressed the importance of intensified co-ordination with relevant authorities to maintain the flow of import and export operations and ensure uninterrupted supply chains.
