An inspection visit to monitor food and essential supplies in the market was carried out by Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
The minister toured the Manama Central Market as part of a series of inspections across Bahrain amid ongoing developments following hostile Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom and the region.
He underscored the importance of co-operation with the private sector to ensure sufficient availability of consumer goods for citizens and residents, while intensifying oversight to maintain balance in quality and pricing, particularly under current circumstances.
Mr Fakhro met traders and vendors, listened to their observations, and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to address any challenges. He commended traders for their preparedness and responsible approach in maintaining price stability and refraining from price manipulation or withholding goods during these exceptional times.
The minister affirmed the stability of the kingdom’s supply situation, the uninterrupted availability of goods and the continued delivery of services with efficiency and high quality in support of the national interest and consumer confidence.
