Civil Defence personnel in the kingdom have responded to approximately 120 incidents involving fires and falling debris resulting from Iranian missile strikes since the assault began on February 28.
According to Interior Ministry spokesperson Captain Abdulla Al Mannai, firefighters were immediately dispatched to each site to assess damage to homes and vehicles.
“Officers prioritised securing the scene and took the necessary action to deal with the danger and protect the lives of people nearby,” he said.
“Four people were injured in recent incidents that also caused material damage to a university in Muharraq, as well as shops in Manama. A water desalination plant was also damaged in a drone attack yesterday, however, no disruptions to water supplies or the power grid are expected.”
Since February 28, the kingdom has successfully intercepted 95 missiles and 165 drones targeting its territory.
