More than 60,000 volunteers have registered through the National Volunteering Platform to participate in the Bahrain is Well Because You Are Its People campaign, launched to support national efforts following the Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom.
A number of registered volunteers have already begun field assignments across various locations after expressing their willingness to contribute to volunteer work and support national efforts in the current circumstances.
The remaining volunteers are being deployed in stages according to the needs of the relevant authorities and the required specialisations, ensuring that volunteer efforts are directed efficiently to areas requiring additional support.
Procedures include reviewing applications, assessing volunteers’ qualifications and expertise, and matching them with appropriate assignments to ensure effective use of their skills.
Volunteer opportunities available through the campaign cover several fields, including health, engineering, logistics, administration, and monitoring, in addition to other specialisations activated according to need.
Tasks include supporting the operation and management of shelter centres, assisting in addressing damage in affected areas, contributing to rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Sitra, and providing support to elderly citizens in meeting their daily needs, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and co-operation that characterises Bahraini society.
At its core, the campaign conveys an inspiring message that Bahrain thrives through its people, and that the generosity of its citizens and residents represents the kingdom’s greatest strength.
Authorities will contact additional volunteers in phases based on operational requirements and the availability of opportunities in the areas for which they registered through the Volunteering Platform.
The strong response from individuals and institutions to participate in the campaign reflects a sense of national responsibility and community solidarity, underscoring the values of co-operation and collective support that help Bahraini society address challenges and support national efforts.
