A Palestinian toddler in Gaza was subjected to severe abuse by Israeli forces during his father’s detention, according to Palestinian media reports.
The reports said Israeli soldiers detained the father, identified as Osama Abu Nassar, and allegedly abused the child in front of him in an apparent attempt to pressure him during interrogation.
Medical reports and field testimonies indicated the child sustained serious injuries, including burns consistent with cigarettes and a wound to the leg allegedly caused by a metal object, according to Al Arabiya.
According to local accounts, Abu Nassar was forced to leave his child on the ground and approach a military checkpoint, where he was reportedly stripped of his clothes.
The child’s mother alleged that Israeli soldiers burned the toddler with cigarettes, pricked him, and inserted a metal object into his leg.
The child, identified as Karim, was released after approximately 10 hours and handed over to his family via the Red Cross in the Maghazi area, while the father remains in detention.
The incident reportedly took place in Gaza, though the exact timing and location were not specified. There was no immediate comment from Israeli authorities on the allegations.
