Bahrain Chamber chairman Nabeel Kanoo has reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to supporting the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) in its mission to unify the regional private sector and drive Gulf economic integration.
This came as Mr Kanoo received FGCCC secretary-general Saleh Al Sharqi at the chamber’s headquarters yesterday, in the presence of Bahrain Chamber chief executive officer Atef Al Khaja.
During the meeting, Mr Al Sharqi extended his congratulations to Mr Kanoo on his election to lead the chamber’s 31st term, expressing confidence that the new leadership would achieve significant milestones in supporting the private sector and advancing Bahrain’s national economic growth.
The two sides reviewed the FGCCC’s latest achievements in promoting trade and investment cooperation across the region.
Discussions focused on future prospects to further position GCC countries as a dynamic global economic hub and the federation’s vital role in representing the private sector on both regional and international stages.
Mr Kanoo praised the federation’s ongoing efforts to act as a unified economic umbrella for the region, pledging the Bahrain Chamber’s continued support for initiatives that enhance the business environment.
For his part, Mr Al Sharqi commended the Bahrain Chamber’s proactive role and emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration between all member chambers to meet the development aspirations of the GCC.
