VOLLEYBALL – BANI Jamra posted a 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-17) sweep of Ma’ameer to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2025-26 His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s Cup.
The prestigious knockout tournament features all 14 teams that are under the umbrella of the Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA), with recently crowned champions of the 2025-26 Isa Bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League Dar Kulaib and runners-up Muharraq gaining automatic berths in the elite eight.
Bani Jamra move on to face Nabih Saleh in the quarters, which will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday. Nabih Saleh previously made it through with their own win in straight sets over Al Nasser.
The opening phase of the competition concludes tonight with two more fixtures on schedule. At 7pm, Al Najma play Al Dair, to be followed at 8.30pm by Al Ahli taking on Al Shabab.
In the quarters, Dar Kulaib will take on the winners from the A’ali-Ittihad Al Reef clash, while Muharraq will play the victors from the Al Tadhamun-Busaiteen contest.
The final of this season’s HRH the Crown Prince’s Cup is scheduled for May 9.
