Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received a security delegation from Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior led by Brigadier Dr Ibrahim Abdullah Al Muzain.
Deputy Chief of Police Major General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was present.
The minister welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation’s visit to Bahrain, which comes within the framework of joint efforts to enhance security co-operation and co-ordination.
Gen Shaikh Rashid commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
Gen Shaikh Rashid emphasised the importance of enhancing the exchange of expertise in all areas of security work to maintain security and public safety.
He noted that this co-operation stems from the historic ties between the two countries and falls within the framework of the GCC system, with its shared principles for joint Gulf action.
The meeting reviewed areas of security co-operation and exchanged expertise that contributes to maintaining security, enhancing efforts to address security challenges, and developing joint work mechanisms.
