MMA – BRAVE Combat Federation (BRAVE CF), the world’s fastest-growing and most international mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation, returns to Slovenia with thunderous intent on Saturday as it stages BRAVE CF 106, in partnership with World Freefight Challenge.
The highly anticipated fight night will take place at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana.
A charged atmosphere is expected as the upcoming premium live event assembles a stacked line-up headlined by two world championship bouts, positioning the event as a decisive chapter in the promotion’s ongoing international expansion.
The Slovene capital is set to transform into a battleground where divisional kings are challenged, rivalries intensify, and emerging contenders seize their moment under the spotlight.
The main event brings heavyweight gold into focus as reigning BRAVE CF heavyweight world champion Pavel ‘The Experiment’ Dailidko steps inside the cage to defend his crown against top-ranked challenger Miha Frlic.
Dailidko has been nothing short of dominant since his sophomore campaign in 2023, stringing together seven consecutive victories while steadily carving a reputation as one of the most formidable forces in the weight class.
His defining moment arrived at BRAVE CF 88 in September of 2024, when he delivered a ruthless opening-round finish over Patryk Dubiela to etch his name in history as the inaugural BRAVE CF heavyweight world champion.
Despite his aura of near invincibility under the promotion’s banner, the Lithuanian powerhouse is fully aware that Frlic represents a distinct and evolving threat.
“This is a sport where respect is everything,” said Dailidko. “Miha Frlic has earned his place, and I recognise the danger he brings every time he steps inside the cage.”
Frlic enters with a pristine 7-0-1 professional record, including an unblemished 4-0 run on the BRAVE CF stage.
The Slovenian behemoth has built his rise on ferocious efficiency and unrelenting tempo, overwhelming opponents before they can settle into rhythm.
Frlic’s statement victory came at BRAVE CF 104 last February, where he produced a first-round dismantling of Samuele ‘Tank’ Di Guardo – a performance that left no ambiguity about his readiness for a world title shot.
In the co-headliner, unfinished business takes center stage when Erko ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Jun puts the BRAVE CF light heavyweight world title on the line against number three-ranked contender Mohamed ‘L’Ambiance’ Said Maalem in a highly anticipated rematch.
Jun’s road back to the light heavyweight division follows his appearance at BRAVE CF 96 in June of last year, when he battled Mohammad ‘The Latest’ Fakhreddine for the vacant BRAVE CF middleweight world championship.
That dream ended abruptly after Fakhreddine delivered a first-round knockout to reclaim the throne, denying Jun the opportunity to etch his name into history as a simultaneous two-division titleholder. Now, Jun aims to bury that disappointment with a statement performance in Ljubljana.
Said Maalem enters the highly anticipated rematch carrying years of frustration and determination on his shoulders.
Despite establishing himself as one of the most dangerous competitors in the division, the elusive BRAVE CF world title has remained just beyond his grasp.
Beyond Saturday’s marquee encounters, eight additional matchups round out the fight card, putting the spotlight on a diverse mix of talent from Slovenia and across Europe – further reinforcing the event’s scope and competitive depth.
