Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the repeated brutal Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom’s territory, Kuwait and Jordan, a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of states, and a blatant breach of the rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, Security Council Resolution No 2817, and the principles of good neighbourliness.
A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with the Arab states, praising the armed forces and air defences in their handling and responses to the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilian and vital facilities.
It further affirmed the right of states to take all legitimate measures to defend their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The ministry reiterated Bahrain’s call to the international community, particularly the Security Council, to assume its legal responsibilities, take a firm and deterrent stance against Iran’s systematic attacks, and establish an effective mechanism for monitoring implementation, accountability and compensation, and to compel Iran to fully comply with its international obligations and permanently ceasing its hostile and terrorist operations, and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the safety of vital waterways.
