The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) has continued its social role in promoting young academic prowess by signing as a platinum sponsor of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) .
CPISP board member and head of the financial and administrative committee and adviser for political and economic affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa met with BBK’s Group chief executive officer Yaser Alsharifi at a special ceremony to mark the partnership.
During the meeting, Mr Alsharifi presented Shaikh Mohammed with a cheque that represents BBK’s continued commitment in supporting talented young Bahrainis as part of bank’s platinum sponsor status.
Shaikh Mohammed affirmed the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to CPISP, highlighting HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to investing in Bahrain’s youth by fostering opportunities to broaden their skills and knowledge and play an active role in the kingdom’s ongoing development and progress.
He further expressed his gratitude to BBK which is aimed at developing the talents and abilities of outstanding Bahraini students and providing them with the best educational opportunities at top international universities.
CPISP was established in 1999 by HRH Prince Salman and every year 20 fully-funded university scholarships are granted to talented individuals from both public and private secondary schools, based on their academic achievements. The selection process includes considering SAT and IELTS scores, Grade Point Average (GPA) and the results of training programmes.
