His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has reiterated that Bahrain continues to take steps to enhance the efficiency of its energy sector.
It is diversifying energy sources through adopting innovative solutions and expanding renewable energy projects to support economic growth, he said during a meeting with Acwa chairman Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan, at Riffa Palace yesterday.
He highlighted the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Bahrain-Saudi relations, which continues to drive bilateral development and growth.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also underscored that the deep-rooted Bahrain-Saudi partnership continues to act as a solid foundation for further strengthening co-operation, particularly in the energy sector.
He commended the joint co-ordination between the two kingdoms across all fields, reflecting the commitment of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to further advance the strategic partnership.
He emphasised that public-private sector partnerships are crucial to supporting and successfully delivering projects, and achieving development goals through innovation and modern technologies.
He welcomed the continued co-operation between Bahrain and Acwa, and its contributions towards energy projects.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Yasser Humaidan, Saudi Ambassador Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi and senior officials also attended the meeting.
