MOTORSPORT – Bahraini karting star Tariq Soofi will undergo a series of on-track training sessions next week with his Italian team Lenovo Kali Kart as part of his final preparations for the highly anticipated first round of the WSK Final Cup 2026.
The meeting is scheduled to take place from August 26 to 30 at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Italy, with young Tariq hitting the tarmac in the Mini GR3 category amongst a highly competitive field of karters from around the world.
Tariq’s participation comes after an intensive off-track training programme, which focused on enhancing his physical fitness and mental readiness to ensure peak performance during the remaining races of his current season.
The supremely talented 11-year-old also conducted sim racing sessions for the Franciacorta circuit at Dubai-based Drivers Lab, while running test days at Al Forsan International Karting Circuit in Abu Dhabi and on his home track at Bahrain International Karting Circuit in Sakhir.
On the professional development front, Tariq is being guided on his motorsport journey by Minardi Management – a leading driver-management company based in Italy with over 30 years of experience in international motorsport.

Round two of the WSK Final Cup 2026 will be held from November 18 to 22 at Circuito South Garda Karting, to be followed by the third and final meeting, set for November 25 to 29, at Leopard Circuit Viterbo. Both venues are also in Italy.
