The Education Ministry has launched preparations to ready schools for receiving administrative staff, teachers, and students in person for the 2026/2027 academic year, emphasising that all facilities must be fully prepared before classes begin.
In an August 11 circular, the ministry instructed school management to carry out deep cleaning operations two weeks prior to the start of the school year. It stressed continuous monitoring of cleaning work and regular staff attendance, prioritising the cleaning and sanitising of restrooms, health facilities, and student gathering areas to ensure a suitable learning environment.
The directive also mandates cleaning halls, corridors, outdoor spaces, and both interior and exterior glass in modern school buildings.
These instructions align with the ministry’s broader effort to prepare the school environment ahead of welcoming students and faculty back for the new academic year.
