MOTORSPORT – Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport are back in action this weekend for rounds five and six of the 2026 British GT Championship.
The meeting is set to take place from today to Sunday at Snetterton Circuit in England.
2 Seas, who are the series’ reigning GT3 teams’ champions, will be hitting the tarmac with their double entry as part of a highly competitive 24-car grid.
Battling in the Pro-Am category are Kevin Tse and Ben Green in 2 Seas’ number 18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, while the pairing of Ian Loggie and Aaron Walker will be behind the wheel of the team’s number 15 Mercedes-AMG amongst the Silver-Am fleet.
The race weekend marks the passing of the mid-way point of this British GT season, and it will be headlined by two 60-minute sprint races, both to be held on Sunday.
The on-track action gets underway today with three test sessions, scheduled for 12.45pm, 3.50pm, and 6pm starts.
A free practice will then be held tomorrow at 11.25am, to be followed by pre-qualifying at 1.55pm and then qualifying at 5.30pm.
That will set the grids for Sunday’s two races – the first flagging off at 1.35pm and then the second starting at 6pm. All times are Bahrain.
2 Seas, co-owned by Bahrain’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, are currently in fifth place on the GT3 teams’ season standings with 59 points – well behind current leaders Barwell Motorsport who are on 138 points.
Optimum Motorsport are second with 93 points, followed by Orange Racing powered by JMH on 65 points and Century Motorsport with 59.5 points.
In the GT3 drivers’ championship, Tse and Green share seventh on the standings with 38 points apiece, while Walker is 10th with 20 points and Loggie 14th with eight.
Aside from being the British GT’s defending GT3 teams’ champions, 2 Seas also won the GT3 drivers’ title last season with their pairing of Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss, who have moved on to compete with 2 Seas in the GT World Challenge Europe for 2026.
Following this weekend’s fifth and sixth rounds, the British GT Championship holds its seventh and penultimate meeting on September 5 and 6 at Donington Park.
The eighth and final round will then take place on September 26 and 27 at Brands Hatch.
