A 60-metre suspension bridge in West Java, Indonesia, partially gave way on August 30 when approximately 50 people crowded onto it shortly after the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The weight exceeded the structure's capacity, causing a main support cable to snap loose from its fastening and tilting the deck sideways.
Several people slid into the shallow creek below, suffering minor injuries, but no fatalities were reported.
The bridge has been closed to the public while authorities conduct repairs and a technical safety assessment.
