An orientation day was yesterday held for parents and students ahead of the new academic year, which started this morning.
Parents met teachers who outlined educational plans and priorities. Students also received their IDs and teaching and administrative staff distributed textbooks to those who have not yet received them.
Education Minister Dr Mohammed Juma thanked His Majesty King Hamad for his congratulations extended to students, teachers and parents on the occasion of the resumption of in-person learning across all educational institutions.

Dr Juma stated that the gracious royal patronage of the education sector would have a profound impact in motivating everyone to achieve further educational and academic accomplishments through concerted efforts.
The first term will run until January 14, 2027. First-term examinations will be held from December 21 to January 12. Mid-term holidays will run from January 17 to 28.
