HORSERACING – Victorious Forever horse Phalanx Nation powered to a sensational victory in the Digital Racecard At raceday-ready.com EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes, held at Wolverhmapton Racecourse in Britain.
The two-year-old bay filly triumphed in the seven-furlong event to pocket more than £7,000 for her connections.
The result continued the outstanding achievements this international horseracing season for the Victorious Forever stable, owned by His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian works and youth affairs representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, and Bahrain Royal Endurance Team captain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Trained by Archie Watson, Phalanx Nation was ridden by jockey Billy Loughnane.
They put in a stunning performance from the off, leading for virtually the entire distance and holding on until the finish, overcoming a heated chase from their closest competitors.
Phalanx Nation triumphed by a length ahead of runner-up Speed Nation, another Bahrain-owned horse, competing for Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa and Ahmed Al Qassimi, trainers Simon and Ed Crisford, and jockey Harry Davies.
Behind the leading pair in third was Iris Olivia, racing for Amo Racing Limited, Kevin Philippart De Foy, and Rossa Ryan.
Rounding out the classification in fourth through ninth, respectively, were Jessica, Casablanca Dream, Moda Rosa, Appassionata, Cowgirl, and Nightspell.
