Contratech International Trading (CIT), a subsidiary of HMD Group and the official distributor of Hitachi Cooling & Heating in Bahrain, has inaugurated Hitachi’s first flagship showroom at Once Mall in Isa Town, marking a significant expansion of the Japanese HVAC brand’s presence in the local market.
The new showroom forms part of CIT’s partnership with Bosch Home Comfort Group, through which the company is responsible for the distribution and development of Hitachi Cooling & Heating products in Bahrain.
The inauguration was attended by senior representatives from HMD Group and Bosch Home Comfort Group, including HMD Group Executive Chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and HMD Group chief executive officer Mazin Zaidan.
Representing Bosch Home Comfort Group were vice-president for Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Middle East, Zafer Polat, Middle East General Manager, Ahmed Aqel, Regional Sales Manager, Mohammed Qandel, Middle East Sales Director, Ahmed Dessouki and Regional Sales Manager, Melhem Mohammed.
Mr Zaidan said: “The chairman and I chalked out this vision three years ago, and it was a dream that is now a reality. Our presence in Bahrain was driven by the objective of bringing Japanese technology back. Hitachi is a major brand and very well-known for in the HVAC industry.
“The entire concept is to establish a one-stop hub where we cater to our clients’ needs across HVAC projects, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), service contracts, and spare parts. We intend to move forward aggressively, while maintaining customer satisfaction which is most important for us.”
Mr Zaidan also announced expansion plans. “Moving forward in Bahrain, we will be expanding to a few more showrooms. Our second showroom will be opening in the first week of October in Busaiteen.”
The new showroom offers customers an opportunity to explore Hitachi’s range of cooling and heating solutions, including energy-efficient air-conditioning systems and smart climate-control technologies designed to enhance comfort whilst supporting lower energy consumption.
The showroom is backed by a dedicated CIT-Hitachi warehouse in Askar, strengthening the company’s local distribution and service capabilities. The facility supports the availability of spare parts, technical assistance and after-sales services for customers and HVAC projects across the kingdom.
