Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi yesterday attended the opening of the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026), held at El Alamein International Airport in Egypt, which will conclude tomorrow.
On the sidelines of the airshow, the Chief of Staff met Lieutenant-General Ahmed Fathi Ibrahim Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The two sides discussed matters related to enhancing joint military co-operation and co-ordination between the BDF and the Egyptian Armed Forces, as well as means to further develop them in support of the two countries.
During a tour of the exhibition, Lt-Gen Al Nuaimi reviewed the latest developments in the aviation, defence and space industries, including advanced systems, technologies and solutions showcased across the airshow’s pavilions.
Lt-Gen Al Nuaimi was also briefed on key products and modern technologies presented by leading international companies and organisations participating in the event, as well as efforts to develop the aviation and space industries in line with the latest technological advancements in these domains.
