The Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice has announced plans to mandate a week-long premarital counselling course for couples before marriage, under a forthcoming amendment to the Personal Status Law.
The initiative aims to prepare couples for the responsibilities of married life, raise awareness of their legal rights, and prevent future family conflicts.
Completion of the mandatory course will be required before the official registration of the marriage contract.
