Heartfelt tributes have been paid to Ali Jasim Yusuf, a much-loved security guard at St Christopher’s School Bahrain, following his sudden tragic passing.
Remembered for his kindness, warm personality and willingness to help others, Mr Yusuf touched the lives of students, parents, colleagues and friends during his more than five years at the school.
“It is with great sadness that St Christopher’s School shares the news of the passing of Ali, a much-loved member of our security team, who served the school for more than five years,” school principal Simon Watson told the GDN.
“Ali was a warm and familiar presence at our school, known and cherished by our students, parents, staff and colleagues alike.
His kindness, dedication and gentle nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be deeply missed by our entire community.”
Security supervisor Ahmad Al Fandi praising his late colleague’s willingness to help others and his compassionate nature.
“He was always willing to help, compassionate and much loved by everyone who knew him,” he said. “He was a role model to us all.
Ali was always smiling, and he will be deeply missed by all of us,” he said.
Echoing those sentiments, the school’s head of human resources, Lindsay Mackay, said Mr Yusuf was ‘universally loved’, not only by his fellow security guards but by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
“He was a genuinely great man, loyal to his school, his colleagues and those around him,” she said.
“His ever-present smile, kindness and wonderful sense of humour will be greatly missed. He leaves behind many fond memories and will be remembered with great affection by all who knew him.”
He was the only son of Jasim Yusuf. The cause of Mr Yusuf’s death has not been revealed.
The school said it will continue to honour his memory and remember the many contributions he made to the school community.
