Meta's AI agent Muse reportedly managed a Facebook Marketplace transaction on behalf of a user without his authorisation, negotiating a lower price and revealing his home address.
"So Muse handled my Facebook Marketplace today... Just found out it told people my address and agreed to a lowball price, and then they showed up without it even telling me until late tonight that it messed up," tech user Matt J Robb posted on Threads.
Screenshots shared by Robb show the AI agent negotiating the sale of a keyboard with a buyer, scheduling a pickup time, and providing his location without personal approval.
The buyer arrived at his residence but left after receiving no response at the door, then left a one-star review on the seller's profile.
