Members of Bahrain’s community organisations came together at Malkiya Beach to mark World Cleanup Day as part of an initiative organised by Cleanup Bahrain.
Observed annually on September 20, World Cleanup Day brings together communities worldwide to raise awareness about littering, responsible waste disposal and the importance of protecting public spaces.
Representatives of Lights of Kindness, Syed Haneef, Fazalur Rahman, Aysha Nihara and Afrin Yusuf, joined the initiative, alongside members and volunteers from the Rotaract Club of Bahrain.
They helped collect waste from the shoreline, contributing to efforts to protect the kingdom’s coastline and keep its beaches clean.
