HORSERACING – RASHID Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) announced yesterday the renewal of its partnership for a third time with Japanese watch brand Grand Seiko-Bahrain Jewellery Centre, which will serve as the official watch for the 2026-27 golden jubilee season.
The agreement was signed by REHC High Committee member and acting CEO Yusuf Buheji and Bahrain Jewellery Centre director Ahmed Shirazi, in the presence of REHC operations deputy CEO Majeed Al Majed.
On this occasion, Buheji welcomed the renewal of the partnership with Grand Seiko-Bahrain Jewellery Centre for a third time, recognising its prominent standing in the world of watchmaking.
He emphasised the importance of partnerships with leading institutions and brands in supporting the club’s continued development and strengthening its presence on the international stage.
Buheji reaffirmed the club’s commitment to developing a diverse range of partnerships that contribute to the advancement of horseracing in the kingdom and strengthen Bahrain’s position on the international racing stage.
He also highlighted the special significance of the 2026-27 horseracing season, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of REHC’s establishment.
For his part, Shirazi praised REHC’s international achievements and continued progress, which have helped strengthen its international standing. He noted that these achievements were a key factor in the decision to renew the sponsorship for a third time.
Shirazi added that the sponsorship reflects a commitment to supporting the long-established sport of horseracing, while benefiting from the club’s distinctive environment for building relationships and developing business opportunities.
